State-run gas utility GAIL will shortly invest Rs 18,000 crore in laying five new pipelines across the country.
According to GAIL chairman and managing director U D Choubey, the pipelines to be laid are Dadri-Bawana-Nangal, Chainsa-Gurgaon-Jhajjar-Hissar, Jagdishpur-Haldia, Dabhol- Bangalore and Kochi-Bangalore.
The pipelines would cover a total length of 3,300 km, and would be completed by 2011, he added.
